Happy Birthday, Henry

Henry, on Dec. 7, 2011 you turned 2!

When Dad and I got you out of bed we gave you a brand new bike! It's a balance bike. For a few days you wouldn't even get on the thing. Now you willingly walk around the house with it between your legs. One of these days we'll get you to sit down on the seat and push yourself. Practice makes perfect.

You were so excited to have a party. You kept talking about friends and cake. And the fact that Grandma and Grandpa Moss were there was the icing on the cake. You danced with your friends. You played Ring Around the Rosie with your friends. You opened presents with your friends (Thanks Friends!!!) You ate yummy home made mac 'n cheese with your friends (compliments of Grandma). You ate Cookie Monster cupcakes with your friends (compliments of mama). And Daddy got to be at the party too. Sweet. You love that guy.

Here you are busting a move. Your signature dance move is to jump up and down and do alternating fist pumps. It's awesomely fantastic.

This is Annie. You pretty much love her. You always want to hold her hand and run or take her places. It's probably the cutest thing ever.

This is Izzy. Your older girl friend. She's super rad (she has a Led Zeppelin t-shirt). She also has adorable dimples. So on top of the fact that we really like her parents, your children would have the CUTEST dimples. So in case things don't work out with Annie, we'd be pretty okay if you married Izzy.

We should have taken a group shot. You have some pretty great friends. Double bonus that your friends happen to have mamas that are my friends. It's a win-win.

Here are the adorably delicious cupcakes mama made. It was her first attempt at decorating cupcakes and they actually look like Cookie Monster despite some frosting malfunctions. It was so worth it. You were delighted to eat cookie monster.

wait for it...wait for it...

You are a champion candle blower...

and frosting eater.

Dad and I are amazed at the amount of energy and will power you are exhibiting now that you have turned two. You figured out that you are your own person. We love you for it. We are excited to grow and learn with you this year.

Henry, Happy Birthday!!
